The Meet & Greet Pt. 2 - Chapter 6
Kaelin had stayed in the bathroom for a good while before she was able to come out of there. She was so embarrassed and upset that someone wouldn't talk to her just because she was a witch! That was crazy! She wasn't doing any harm to anybody, and she wasn't a bad person.
Kaelin stood at the bathroom sink and as she finished washing her hands, she looked in the mirror. A frown covered her face. Her eyes looked like she was on the verge of tears, but she held it together.
"It'll be okay." She muttered to herself. "Everything will be alright." She tried to keep telling herself that as she walked out of the bathroom. She made her way back out into the Meet and Greet area and was suddenly stopped by another guy. This time, it wasn't weird or strange, but it was actually kinda nice.
"Hey there!" He called out.
"My name is Tiberius. I'm..Look, I'm sorry about my friend, Derek. He can sometimes be a jerk. He always thinks he can beat the government and take down 'the man', but he's really a decent guy..Ah, deep down, haha."
Kaelin gave Tiberius a half-smile and shook his hand. "It's very nice to meet you..and thank you. That's very nice of you to say. I guess he doesn't like anything new?" Kaelin laughed a little as did Tiberius.
They stood there for a long while and talked about different things and interests. Kaelin found out that Tiberius was really into science and was a part of a club on campus. After talking for a while, Tiberius asked Kaelin for a game of ping-pong. She accepted, and they both played until the Meet and Greet was over.
Though half of the day didn't go so well, Kaelin thought she made one good friend out of it. What was next for her? Would classes go well the next day?
Again, only time would tell...
